The committee have well and truly excelled themselves by filling the 2014 calendar with an eclectic mix of meetings ranging from wine tasting and chocolate making to dancing, photography, reiki, first aid and IT safety. Take a look at the events page for all the latest information. We hope all events will proceed as planned, but the programme is subject to change.

Well done to our knitters especially Sue Aplin, Debra Low and Liz M for donating 27 ‘Innocent’ hats to Age UK. Look out for them in the supermarkets this Christmas. They look so cute!
Fantastic evening enjoyed by all on Monday 21st October with cheese tasting and a very interesting talk by local cheese maker Ceri Cryer; maker of delicious milk, cream, butter and ice cream at Brinkworth Dairy in Wiltshire.
All Angels WI joined members of Kington St Michael WI on Saturday 5th October to plant spring bulbs in the village. These new bulbs are to replace the ones that were removed by the recent gas works near The Ridings with a grant of £100 from British Gas.
Luckily there was a good turn out from both WIs as there were over 500 daffodil bulbs to plant. Well done to everyone who helped as it was hard work digging holes on that bank!
It was also a lovely social occasion and enabled members of both WIs to get to know each other better.
Everyone had a go at spinning at Liz McCarron’s spinning workshop. We all had fun and came away with some sort of thread! Some of us really got the bug and bought our own spindle set.
Hannah organised a successful “speed dating” exercise as an opportunity for members to get to know each other before having some fun trying on clothes as part of our swishing party. Debra made some delectable posh nosh and Liz A made an exquisite Lemon Drizzle cake… superior even to the queen cake baker Liz M. We fear this may spark a competition! Our programme planners Caroline, Faith and Susan are busy planning events for the rest of the year and into 2014. They presented a list of ideas and suggestions and members were given the opportunity to vote for their preference.
